Funded through Health and Welfare Canada, this program provides parent-directed safe-sites and is concerned with supplying support and services to the parents and children of the Downtown Eastside. The project addresses the extent of programming for children 0-6 years old in our area.

An inventory of services has been developed to address family safety issues and to arrange for parental rights education and pre-employment programs. Safe sites correspond to the locations of three family support groups: Strathcona Community Centre, Ray-Cam Family Drop-In, and Britannia Community Centre.
